Great Australia Shows

Since my family changed cable operators, I've been able to watch 2 great Australian shows.

First one I got to watch is McLeod's Daughters:

Hardship and respect for the land are key at Drovers Run, a vast cattle ranch in the Australian outback that once belonged to Jack McLeod. Now, with his passing, his two daughters are reunited to decide the ranch's future. While Tess initially wants to sell her share, she finds that the land beckons to her. And her sense of optimism is much needed, given that Claire has spent years struggling to keep the ranch financially afloat. These two decide to run it together, with their housekeeper and mother-figure, Meg, her teenage daughter, Jodi, and a local girl, Becky, who is escaping her own troubles in town. Their lives are hard and the obstacles many, but the rewards are every bit as grand as the wild open land they've inherited.

The second one is Home and Away:

Home and Away (also commonly abbreviated in writing to H&A) is a Logie-winning soap opera that is produced in Sydney by the Seven Network since July 1987. It premiered on 17 January 1988 and is now one of the longest-running series on Australian television.

The show initially focused on the characters of Pippa and Tom Fletcher who ran the Summer Bay Caravan Park and lived there with a succession of foster children, most notably Sally Fletcher (Kate Ritchie), but the show has expanded and now focuses on the Stewart family along with the rest of the residents of Summer Bay.

Home and Away is most successful television series in Australian history having won 31 Logies since 1988. It took this title at the 2008 Logie Awards where the show won an impressive four awards.

In my opinion these shows are award winning. The cast/characters are great. And the storyline, something to keep track of. Plus the music is wonderful.

Lunch?.....Lunch!!!!

I was sent an interesting email the other day.

Its about a family that went scuba diving. When the family submerged themselves in the water they noticed their son shaking. The father signaled "What's wrong?" But the son, being underwater couldn't speak so he just took a picture of his parents underwater and surfaced. When they all surfaced, the parents asked the son what was wrong. The son said that there was a shark behind them. The parents didn't believe him...that is until he showed them the picture he took of them underwater.

Guess what they saw.
Maybe its because the son didn't panic and point to the shark that the shark didn't attack. Or maybe its because the shark already ate. Hmph!

Speaking of lunch...I had a big one this afternoon. I had pizza of two topics. One half was meat lovers and the second half was of seafood variety. Four of us shared the pizza and each one of us had 4 slices! After eating two slices we were already full so we saved the rest of the 2 other slices for dinner. Man, that was some good pizza.

End Of Semester Outing

Its S-U-M-M-E-R-!-!-! Finally the semesters over and I can finally relax! Ah! Dream land, here I come!!!!!!

To celebrate (surviving) another semester, the gang and I went to Glorietta 4 to watch.... SHUTTER!!!!!!! it been a while since I last saw a movie. The last one I saw was Johnny Depp's Sweeney Todd, Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I saw that one with the gang too. It was so much fun. As usual we got carried away and lost track of time. We didn't mean to. Its just that talking to each other about anything is so easy, that everything just comes out!

Well, those in attendance were, me (of course), Ate Zai, 2net, Kris, Tel, Shamirah, Angelica, Ana & Jerson, and Liza & Lloyd. Everyone but 2net went to G4 together. 2net has some exams that she had to take, so she just meet us there. Well, as I mentioned before, we saw Shutter. It got bad reviews but I liked it. It scared me! There were plenty of times when I was tempted to close my eyes and just keep it that way for the entire movie!!!! There were parts where I knew something was coming, something that would make me jump, yet I still jumped anyway.

Anyway, here are some pictures: These were taken after we took a portrait from one of those photo cubicles. The one where your get your picture taken in just a minute. Except here your pictures is that of a drawing.

Please vote for Liza!!!!!!

Everyone!!!!! My classmate and fellow blogger has just entered the Candy Blog Awards. Please help her/us by voting for her. She is a kind girl, quirky at times, but a good friend to have. Plus she has one hell of a blog. Please vote for her!!!!!

On another matter, I am currently very busy with completing my various brain damaging, brain bleeding, heart wrenching projects. If thats so then why am I posting on my blog you ask. Well I needed a break and if I didn't take one, I would be in a hospital or worse by now. So I took a breather.

Anyway to keep up with my requirements, I am taking some much needed nutrients. Hehehe! I know its not really nutritious. But the sugar it has helps. so anything that can give me energy to get my work done is nutritious. For now.

They are arguably one of the most popular boy bands in Japan at the moment. All six singles released since their debut in 2006 debuted at Number 1 on the Oricon music charts, a feat only accomplished twice before in Japanese music history. Their debut was marked by a tripartite release consisting of their debut single, "Real Face", a "Real Face Film" DVD and their debut album . All three shattered records in album sales. Dry Spell Again!!!!

Hello again!!!!!! I am so sorry for the dry sell, for not having posted anything for a long time. I have reasons...very good reasons.

1. I couldn't log in. No matter what computer I used when I put in my username and password the page keeps coming up as "ERROR".
2. I have been very busy. School work, social life, love life (kidding). Well, I've been pretty busy with mostly school work.

Anyway, to let you in my tentative plan for the summer.

1. I intend to go to summer school.
2. I am going to do some major bedroom cleaning. My bedroom that is.
3. I WILL continue to be obsessed with Hana Kimi (especially with Oguri Shun who plays Sano Izumi).

Though Ikuta Toma (who played Natsuko Yuichi) isn't bad himself. Oh for crying out loud! He was great! The man did win the Best Supporting Actor in a drama award.
4. Loose weight. I know, I know I keep saying that, but its not as easy as one thinks!
5. Put my feet up and rest.

Well, that's all for now. Blog you later! Mwah!

Come Back Soon Lovelyn

I know this happened a month ago, but now is the only time that I was able to actually go online and post something.

About a month ago my friends and I visited a girlfriend of ours at Makati Med. She had an operation to remove her gall bladder. The operation went smoothly and she's now back on her feet and working again. She says she misses school work! We are tired of school work!

We're all hopeful that she can come back to school and finish her studies. We really miss her.

Dry Spell

Hello everyone! As you can see I've had a very long dry spell again. Sorry for my long absence but the computer I was using to frequently make my blogs was taken away from me! Or rather my Education class!

Its so unfair!

Well, at least our classroom problem is solved! We got the old Guidance Office between the 2nd and 3rd floors. The air conditioning is pretty wacked. We turn it on to get cool and it blows a blizzard and we turn it off because its cold and the place becomes the Sahara. Oh well, at least its not on the 5th floor anymore and we can now HEAR each other.

Anyway, today Liza, Sham, Kris, 2net, Arlene, Kaycee & Darran, Julius, Ana, Angie, and Kristel, Maya & John had a pre-Valentines Day at the Japanese Garden in Luneta before class. We had a blast! (Pictures to come soon. PROMISE) Everyone hope we can do it again soon.

That's it for now. Our computer here at home hasn't been cooperating with us that much. Just when someone is in the middle of something doing something very important on it...it freezes and we have to restart it. This happens quite a number of times and it annoys the hell out of everyone. My mom at one point had been ready to beat this thing to a mechanical technological pulp.

Ciao!
